Our Story
I am so happy to have you in this little corner of the world.
I’m Myranda, the one behind the keyboard, the dreamer behind Tailored Shots and the writer of our blog. I am the one bursting with excitement over the photographer-to-client relationships that I envision harvesting from this website.
I have loved photography ever since I was a kid getting my first camera for my ninth birthday (a striking red for those wondering). During my teen years, I spent hours driving around with friends doing mock photo sessions. In this time, I learned a lot, bought a “fancy” camera and eventually started doing photography for a living.
I loved what I was able to capture -- particularly, the fleeting moments that I was able to freeze in time. Life happened though and before I knew it, I was no longer able to be behind the camera for clients. However, I found myself missing the client connection and getting to help my clients put together their session from locations to attire and everything in between. I was in a position yearning to fill that “thing” that was missing yet wasn't sure how.

Within two years time, this yearning developed into something bigger as I came to many realizations. I realized that people need advice in more areas than just what to wear for their session. I noticed that oftentimes something is missing in the client photographer relationship. The more I worked through it, I realized that there really isn't a way to find a perfect photographer for you - not for your cousin or for your friend, but for you. Not all photographers and clients are the perfect match, and that’s okay.
With all of this, Tailored Shots was born bringing everyone their perfectly Tailored Photographer. The photographers that you will find on Tailored Shots have been carefully curated so that we can bring you the best talent and kindest photographers within this single platform. Here in this space, we truly hope that we help you not only find the perfect match but help you with planning your perfect session and perfect sessions to follow.

Take a look over here if you would like to see some of my own work. I liked shooting in lots of different genres of photography, but the “Fresh 48” genre really had my heart.
I also did weddings, engagement, seniors, first year plans, kids, mini sessions, events, families, some maternity, and I loved mini sessions.
I think it’s safe to say that I know firsthand just how important this service is to people, and how many beautiful client + photographer relationships it will continue to create.
