My name is Birgit DeVae, like "get beer" but backwards... yep! I own DeVae Photography in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. My love for all things photography started at a young age when I began my modeling career. After my boys were born I moved to the other side of the lens and immediately became obsessed with documenting their everyday joys and adventures. I have always been immersed in the arts and being an unemotional aquarius, have found I can express and share my soul through my creativity. Through my lens, I strive to bring out the truly beautiful soul that is in front of me. Discovering the little glorious bits that truly define a person, capturing them to always remember who we were and who we are. That urge to find your spark, that glow, what makes you tick and get up in the morning is my quest. You can find me trying to wrangle my two boys out hiking, playing hockey or soccer, at the skate park or anywhere else they can run! I am a lover of matcha lattes, opera, and too expensive clothing and am always down for the next adventure.
